Ella joined Ortho Rhode Island after earning her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at New England Institute of Technology. Prior to becoming an Occupational Therapist, she worked as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in a hospital and school setting treating children and adolescents. Ella is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, and specializes in upper extremity rehabilitation, including hand, wrist, and elbow injuries. She brings experience fabricating custom splints and treating surgical and non-surgical conditions with approaches like manual therapy, joint mobilizations, ergonomics, and activity modifications.
Ella discovered she wanted to specialize in hand therapy while completing her clinical fieldwork at Ortho Rhode Island’s Hand Therapy Clinic in Warwick. When it comes to upper extremity injuries, she greatly enjoys the opportunity to improve patients’ functional abilities in everyday tasks.
When not at work, Ella enjoys rock climbing, hiking, camping, playing tennis, and playing with her energetic chocolate lab.
