Lori graduated from Quinnipiac University with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 1990. Drawn to the art and science of hand function she focused her career on upper extremity rehabilitation and obtained certification in hand therapy from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) in 1996. Lori has continued her education with focus on customized splinting, manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, arthritis and post trauma.

She began her career working at the RI Hand and Orthopedic Center, followed by participating in the development and growth of Occupational Therapy programs including serving as Director of OT at Kent Hospital. Lori also worked within the Donley Center where her focus was on work rehabilitation, ergonomic consultations and work hardening. She also has experience working in the school system and homecare settings.

Besides her love of Hand Therapy, Lori enjoys the functional aspects of being an OT and assisting patients recover their independence in self-care as well as leisure activities. She holds certification as an LSVT BIG instructor for the treatment of Parkinson’s and is a Level I Titleist Performance Institute Medical Professional, helping golfers increase performance through understanding how the body functions during the golf swing.

Lori enjoys working in the collaborative environment at Ortho RI where the doctor, therapist and patient work as a team to restore function and quality of life.
