Dr. Mata-Fink joined Ortho Rhode Island in 2016 as a board-eligible and fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow orthopaedic surgeon. Her practice focuses on injuries and arthritis of the shoulder and elbow. Common conditions that she treats include rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, shoulder and elbow arthritis, and fractures. She has advanced training in conventional and reverse shoulder replacement, elbow replacement, and arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
She feels that delivering the best care means developing a partnership with the patient, designed to get them back to their regular activities and sports. She believes in a conservative, evidence-based approach that maximizes non-surgical treatments before recommending surgery.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, backpacking, and skiing, and is currently working on summiting all 4000+ foot mountains in New Hampshire.
