Dr. Murphy has chosen to focus on spine care to solve problems that cause a great deal of pain and disability. He’s become even more passionate about spine care as he found through his career that back and neck problems are collectively the number one cause of disability, both worldwide and locally. They’re also the number one driver of cost in our healthcare system. Dr. Murphy is committed to innovation for patients with back and neck problems, which is why he has helped pioneer the new role of primary spine practitioner.

In practicing primary spine care, Dr. Murphy believes in doing everything he can to help patients with back or neck problems. These efforts lead to working relationships with other practitioners who play key roles, including primary care practitioners, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, spine surgeons, behavioral health specialists, rheumatologists, neurologists, and others.
