Dr. Goldstein fellowship-trained in sports medicine with Dr. Douglas Jackson and Dr. David Morrison in arthroscopic knee and shoulder reconstruction. He cares for a wide variety of Orthopedic problems, including total joint replacement and trauma, and has extensive experience in total joint replacement of the shoulder, knee, and hip, and both operative and non-operative care for fractures.
His approach to care includes a deep focus on patient education as well as both conservative and operative treatment of many orthopedic problems. He focuses on sports medicine and shoulder and knee problems specifically. Over his long career, he has developed broad experience and a wealth of experience in Orthopedic care.
With an engineering background, he has been involved in Outcomes Measures and Health Information Technology, as well as software development for the advancement of medical care. He has been actively involved in Family Practice education and Medical Student Education at Brown, and is interested in surgical instrument design and fabrication, collagen biological implants, and bioengineering topics related to sports medicine.
As a community service, he also covered East Providence High School football games between 1994 and 2014.
