Dr. George Moniz is a board-certified, residency-trained foot surgeon who has practiced podiatric medicine for twenty-five years. He specializes in all aspects of foot pathology, with special interest in sports medicine, surgery, biomechanical orthotic management, and bracing and limb salvage. He also provides custom braces and orthotics. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and completed his surgical education in podiatry at Roger Williams Hospital.

Dr. Moniz prides himself on helping deliver the most comprehensive and highest quality podiatric care in Rhode Island to children, adolescents and adults. Born in Portugal, Dr. Moniz speaks Portuguese fluently, and serves a high volume of Portuguese-speaking patients.

As a member of the Podiatric Medical Education Committee and the former Director of Podiatric Externships at Roger Williams University, Dr. Moniz is actively involved in the training and education of podiatric residents. He is also a member of the Limb Salvage Team at Kent Hospital, and previously served as the Chief of Podiatry there.

When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Moniz pursues his passion for photography, which includes sports photography at the Prout School and Lacrosse photography at Assumption College.
