Madeline (Maddy) Neff is a Physical Therapist at Ortho Rhode Island, where she helps patients regain strength, confidence, and independence through personalized, goal-driven care. With six years of clinical experience, Maddy treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions and supports patients through both prehabilitation and post-operative recovery. She is passionate about meeting patients where they are in their health journey and partnering with them to help them return to the activities that matter most.
Maddy earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 2019, after completing her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science in 2018. Her clinical background includes acute care at a Level I trauma center and urban hospital in Boston, where she treated patients across the emergency department, ICU, and pre- and post-operative settings. She also has extensive experience in home health physical therapy in urban, suburban, and rural environments, a role she continues in a per diem capacity alongside her work with the Ortho Rhode Island rehabilitation team.
Maddy believes physical therapy offers a unique opportunity to help patients participate more fully in their lives. She emphasizes education, empowerment, and collaboration, guiding patients toward strength and confidence in their own abilities. She finds the greatest fulfillment in helping patients feel prepared to safely and confidently return to the activities they enjoy.
Outside of the clinic, Maddy enjoys spending time outdoors—especially near the ocean—whether hiking, boating, surfing, or relaxing at the beach. She also enjoys running, yoga, and Pilates, and values staying active as an important part of overall health and wellness.
