Dr. Bradley is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who focuses his practice on sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, and knee, hip, and shoulder, replacements. He completed medical school, residency, and fellowship training in sports medicine and orthopedic trauma at Brown University, and holds an advanced Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. Dr. Bradley serves as President and CMO of Ortho Rhode Island, and holds several local and national orthopedic leadership positions. As an official athletic department physician, he cares for athletes at the University of Rhode Island, where his father coached soccer for nearly 20 years. He enjoys sharing knowledge by teaching nationally at several courses and conferences, and by working as a consultant for industry leaders in medical education and product development, including Arthrex, DJO Global, and Corin.
His patient care philosophy is based on being a good listener and offering options, collaborating with patients on their treatment rather than pushing them in one direction. He chose orthopedic surgery as his specialty because he enjoys solving patients’ problems and helping them get back to their normal activities.
Dr. Bradley found his passion for medicine and orthopedics as an undergraduate at Dartmouth College. There, he also played collegiate soccer, before going on to play professionally in Seattle. After medical school, he spent four years on active duty in the U.S. Navy as the Head of Orthopedics in Newport, RI, where he was also Head Team Physician for the Naval Academy Prep School and Team Physician for the United States Coast Guard Academy. In 2009, he was deployed to Afghanistan and spent eight months caring for wounded warriors and Afghan civilians. He returned home to Rhode Island to practice in 2010.
When he’s not helping patients, Dr. Bradley loves spending time with his four children, who have all participated in activities and sports at various levels, and with his wife, with whom he enjoys cycling and paddleboarding.
