A board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty certification in hand surgery,
Dr. Allen has a special interest in minimally invasive procedures. These include arthroscopic
shoulder surgery for rotator cuff repair, endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery, and treatment of
arthritis, nerve-related syndromes, tendon injuries, fractures, and sports-related injuries
of the upper extremity.

His approach to care centers on taking the time to listen, understand each patient’s needs,
and discuss treatment options that will best meet their goals. A native Rhode Islander,
Dr. Allen grew up in Warwick, RI.
