ABIGAIL KARSTEN, PA-C

Abigail Karsten brings a strong background of both academic and work experience to Ortho Rhode Island, specializing in sports medicine and total joint replacement surgery. Prior to completing her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Johnson & Wales University, Abigail served for two years as an emergency room tech and volunteer EMT.

Abigail’s passion for orthopedics was first sparked while earning her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Central Michigan University. Then, after completing two orthopedic rotations with Ortho Rhode Island while at Johnson & Wales, she knew orthopedic care was the way she wanted to help patients.

When not in the clinic, Abigail enjoys golf, snowboarding, rock climbing, and spending time back in Michigan with family.
