SPORTS MEDICINE

Sports and Strain

Fall is upon us, as much as we don’t want to accept it! Dunkin is advertising for pumpkin spice everything and NFL football officially starts tonight. Along with these signs, it also means Fall sports have also started. High school teams are out practicing and playing games and college football is already a week into their season. While you watch your alma mater play on Saturday or your favorite NFL star sling it on Sunday you hopefully won’t see much of the medical staff on the field. Strains, sprains, muscle pulls and tears are all part of the game as much as we don’t want to admit it.

Be ready to take care of them and treat them properly if they come knocking at your high schooler or weekend warrior’s door! The following info graphics will help you be knowledgeable about those nagging common injuries.
