PETER A. PIZZARELLO JR., MD

Dr. Peter Pizzarello, Jr. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who provides comprehensive care for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on the hip, knee, and shoulder. A member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, he is an expert in joint replacement surgery, including robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement using the Mako robot. His approach combines advanced technology with precise surgical techniques to improve accuracy, enhance recovery, and help patients return to the activities they enjoy.

In addition to joint replacement, Dr. Pizzarello performs arthroscopic procedures and non-operative treatments tailored to each patient’s goals and lifestyle. He is committed to a patient-centered approach, emphasizing education, shared decision-making, and individualized care.

Dr. Pizzarello earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, before completing his orthopedic surgery residency through the Tufts Combined Orthopedic Residency program. He went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at the Tufts Sports Medicine Fellowship, training at New England Baptist Hospital and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. During his fellowship, he gained valuable experience using advanced arthroscopic techniques, and worked alongside the head physician for the Boston College Eagles football program.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Pizzarello enjoys photography, cooking, and playing the piano and guitar. He also enjoys staying active and loves to play golf.
