Robert C. Marchand, MD, Ortho RI’s leading robotic joint replacement surgeon, has launched a Robotic Joint Replacement Institute (RJRI) to offer the most advanced and comprehensive treatment for partial knee replacement, total knee replacement and total hip replacement patients. The goal: better outcomes.
The Institute will help educate patients on the advances made possible by robotics. “We believe in using technology and our deep experience to benefit patients, and in sharing our knowledge with patients, surgeons and providers,” Dr. Marchand said.
Robotic joint replacement offers many benefits. For example, robotics enables partial knee replacements to be done on an outpatient basis. Robotic surgery can also mean shorter hospitalizations for total knee and total hip patients, as well as more predictable, balanced, and aligned joint replacements.
