Acute Care Physical Therapist

Reporting to the Director of Rehab, the Ortho RI Acute Care Physical Therapists implement progressive, evidence-based direct patient care for the acute setting, primarily focused on patient education, patient preparation for surgery, and assisting in safe patient discharge home in the ambulatory surgical setting. They are expected to be knowledgeable in pain science, functional movement patterns, and effective patient communication. They perform the tasks required by a physical therapist in compliance with state law, including evaluations, reevaluations, development of treatment planning, and supervision of physical therapist assistants and support staff.

Essential Functions:

Certified Surgical Technologist

Location: Warwick

Status: Full Time

The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. The Certified Surgical Technologist performs duties according to the scope of practice designated by Ortho RI and in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Delivers safe patient care according to Ortho RI policy and procedure.
  • Demonstrates ability to respond to patient care needs in an emergency under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Registered Nurse.
  • Assists with care, preparation, maintenance, and after-care of sterile and un-sterile supplies and equipment.

Medical Coordinator

The Medical Coordinator will be an essential link in providing a team-based approach to patient care and exceptional patient experience. Essential Functions:

MRI Assistant

Our MRI Assistant provides hands-on support to the MRI technologist. This role prepares patients for MRI examinations by greeting, screening, changing, completing and reviewing paperwork, and assisting with transfers, positioning, and MRI room cleanliness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of MRI safety protocols.

Orthopedic Technologist

The Orthopedic Technologist is knowledgeable about all aspects of the DME supply and distribution process within the office. This includes prescription verification, product selection, sizing, dispensing/education, documentation, billing, and compliance as well as inventory management. The Orthopedic Technologist also assists with duties such as applying and removing casts, splints, and braces under the direction and supervision of the ordering physician.

Essential Functions:
