Orthopedics Rhode Island — Warwick
Ortho Rhode Island is seeking per diem x-ray technologists to perform high quality radiology procedures in support of patient treatment plans. Position is based at our flagship campus in Warwick, but will require floating to other locations if the need arises. Candidate must be proficient in using and maintaining specialized radiography equipment.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Transfers patient, prepares and positions patients for X-ray procedures.
- Takes X-rays following established procedures and ensures patient care and safety.
- Records key information on each patient following established procedures.
- Prepares routine paperwork as required.
- Maintains the X-ray area and stocks necessary radiology supplies.
- Performs duties in all Ortho Rhode Island locations as needed to ensure effective coverage.
- Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality
Knowledge & Skills:
- Graduate of accredited Radiography program.
- AART Certified
- Licensed to practice in RI
- Requires effective verbal skills
- 1-2 years orthopedic experience preferred
- Basic computing skills
- Requires flexibility in scheduling
