Dr. Brian Cohen is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and partner at Ortho Rhode Island. He has a focus in shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle, and hip for active and sport-related injuries of all ages and specializes in open, arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures.

Dr. Brian Cohen obtained his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, graduating summa cum laude and with the highest honors, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He then completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency and Trauma Fellowship at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. In addition to his Trauma Fellowship, he completed an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Iowa. During his time in Iowa, he was a team physician for the University of Iowa Football team and all Hawkeye athletics. He is currently a Team Physician for Rhode Island FC of the USL Championship.

When not practicing orthopedics, Dr. Cohen enjoys staying active, playing sports, traveling, and spending time with his wife, son, and daughter.
